12 DIYS of Christmas { Chocolate Crinkle Cookies}

Hola, amigos!

Today I thought I would share another edible gift idea. I’ve made these cookies for a ton of parties and people love them. To me they resemble a snow covered chocolate cookie so I think they are perfect for winter! 20151220_173102             The ingredients I used were :

  •   1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  •  2 cups of white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/2 cup ( more or less) of confectioners’ sugar

To start I combined the cocoa, white sugar, and vegetable oil.  20151220_162432                After they were well mixed, I beat in the eggs one at a time. 20151220_162648          Once all the eggs were mixed in I added the vanilla extract. 20151220_163043            In a separate bowl I combined the flour, baking powder, and salt. 20151220_163451                       After they were thoroughly combined, I dumped half of the dry mix into the wet mixture. After mixing that, I added the rest of the dry mix.20151220_163610              Once everything was well combined,20151220_163950 I chilled the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes.

After the dough was chilled, I created an assembly line. 20151220_170514

So first you scoop about a tablespoon of dough, and plop it in the powdered sugar.  20151220_170552          You want to make sure you coat it completely in the powdered sugar.

I then placed it on a greased baking sheet. 20151220_170630               I did this until all of them were ready to be baked. 20151220_171459                     I baked them at 350 degrees for 10 minuets.

20151220_173102              These turned out soooooo good. Every time I’ve made them people always ask for the recipe, so here it is!!  🙂

Wrap some of these up in a box or a cellophane bag, and you’ve got an immediate gift. These are SUPER delicious! I hope you try them out. I’ll see you guys tomorrow!

Merry Christmas,

Victoria  🙂
